    What's your worst crash?  At the Waterloo fair race. I came out of the corner by the grand stands       on the inside and Rose Mickel was in the middle.  Rose and I were side by side into the tabletop       Rose landed first and I drifted over and landed with the handled bars on her shoulder.  The bike       and I went down.  Rose kept it up.  Thank god not broken bones.  Just one road rash knee, one         very bad bruised knee, and a bruised hand.

 

   Who is your favorite rider nationally, and why?

 

    Who is your favorite rider locally, and why? Nikki Weis and Rose Mickel.  These two have showed       me hospitality, friendship, and the ropes of racing.  Both are very good riders.

 

   How many times a week do you practice? About 2 times a week

 

    How do you train for a race? My brother and I ride together in ten-minute segment.  Then take a      break and decide what would work better for me.

 

   How do you keep fit in the off season?  I work out with weights and Areo fit.

 

   How do you prepare for a race? Walk the track and talk it over with my brother.Do you think that      female and male riders should always race separate classes, or do you think people should not         make a big deal when a woman races in the men's class?

 

    I think people should expect female and male rides in the same class, it’s the year 2000. 

               

    Is there a lot of competition?  At some tracks

 

     Are there any other female riders racing with you, how many? Yes, about 5

 

    Who maintains your bike? My brother Dan Mouchka

 

    Do you do any freestyle tricks? Not on purpose

 

   On average, how many race events do you compete in during the year?  About 10

 

   Have you ever had a male rider give you some rough riding?  If so, how did you react to it? No

 

   Do you find it difficult to obtain sponsors being a woman?  This is something I have not done yet,       But for the year 2001 I will be trying to find sponsors.

 

   Does your family provide you support, moral, etc.?  Yes, there is a lot of support from my family,      until I get hurt.  My husband will not because it is self-inflected.

 

   Do you find it hard to buy gear that actually fits?

 

   What is the brand of gear that fits you best, and why? Fox.

 

   Is there a brand(s) of gear that doesn’t fit you comfortably, and why? n/a

 

    Is there anything else that you would like us to know about yourself?   Mother of a two (Logan 5      and Christopher 8).  Christopher races the 65 class.

 

   Which track(s) do you normally race at? I normally race at Waterloo and Coal Valley.  Will be          trying Kohoka.
